Enough of this nonfiction I say. We need a novel. We need something fantastic, something thrilling, something to appeal to the beer-sodden souls of our crowd. I chose three different genres: thriller/historical fiction, fantasy/historical fiction, and what I guess we would call good ole literary fiction, though a literary novel about a raging alcoholic sports fan. All three I think will appeal to the beers and a book palette. I list these novels in no particular order of preference. Without further delay, sirs, I give you the novels.
City of Thieves by David Benioff
The Somnabulist by Jonathan Barnes
A Fan’s Notes by Frederick Exely
Read the reviews and readers’ comments. Comment on your preferences. I’ll bring copies to book club.

How dare you all get the library copies of City of Thieves before me! I’m number 2 in line, so read up and get my copy back to the library!
Also, someone should do a recap of the last meeting at the Man Cover for ‘Born Standing Up’…..
