All,

Bad News: I regret to inform you that my invited guest and I will not be attending tonight’s festivities. His plans changed. Mine were influenced by joining and supporting my wife’s desire to do a couple week cleansing diet. I’m afraid I don’t have the willpower to avoid the drink and food that accompanies Book Club.

Good News: I have lost 12 pounds in less than a week. I will be less of a fat bastard when done with this program. (No, I’m not in the hospital getting my stomach stapled)

I hope to see you in a month, if not sooner, at least slightly thinner!

PS I did get the book and read most of it. Very amusing….like I needed more encouragement to be a lush.

Someone please post the new book choice on the website dammit.

Jason, thank you for updating the website. I have been hoping for this day for a long time.

Michael and I have copies of Modern Drunkard coming from Barnes and Noble that should be here Friday. Only cost us $10 each with free shipping.

I still have some of my good IPA I’ll let you drink on the 23rd as I won’t have a new batch done by then.

Now I’m off to start drinking 2 cases of PBR to be more like Andre, just call me Jaron the Giant!

Holy shit–7000 calories a DAY! A PBR contains about 150 calories, so picture just trying to do that ONCE–drink about 2 cases of PBR in 24 hours. Or just one case of something heavier like Uinta Barleywine. I guess when you weigh over 500 pounds you don’t really need to watch your figure…

1. Freakonomics- Great bathroom book with all the interesting tidits
of info. And, I did pick this amazing piece of literature after all.
2. Hot Flat & Crowded- Riviting! I couldn’t put this one down.
Actually, I wish I would have put it down and forgot where I put it.
3. Choke- Vulgarity at it’s finest! Kind of built me up.
4. The Acid House- This one needs a sequel! Love the vernacular.
5. The Wonder Clock- Charming! Alway’s read before bed to put me to
sleep.
